Mexican painter, born in Tampico, Tamaulipas, has lived in Mexico City since 2003. Her interest in art began in her adolescence in a self-taught manner, later taking different workshops in scenography, photography, painting, drawing and artistic expression techniques; she also created some sculpture and painting pieces intermittently. She graduated with a degree in architecture from the Universidad Iberoamericana in the City of Puebla.<\/p>\n
In 2008 she designed the sculpture \"El Cu\u00e9lebre\", which was selected by the firm Sordo Madaleno Architects to be part of the main entrance of at Asturiano Sports Club reshuffle, located in the south of Mexico City. In 2019 she decided to formally return to painting and formed Chikome Galer\u00eda during the pandemic period.<\/p>\n
She has more than 20 collective exhibitions in galleries and museums within the Mexican Republic and abroad.<\/p>\n
In 2021, she was selected to represent Mexico at the AAmA No. 18 International Exhibition held at the Qingdao Art Museum of China, curated by Qi Luo, director of the China School of Art. The Academic Committee of the International Exhibition unanimously gave her the award for Multicultural Contribution on November 12, 2021.<\/p>\n
Her plastic work is multidisciplinary, exploring various painting and drawing techniques, as well as collage, photography, textile art, and sculpture. In her work, a constant dialogue with nature, color, and sensuality can be appreciated.<\/p>\n
