The word “chikome” is a Nahuatl word that means number seven. The number seven is considered a lucky number in different cultures related to mysticism, spirituality, consciousness, balance and perfection. This number is constantly present in the artist’s life, which is why she chose it along the Nahuatl culture, one of the most important and richest cultures in Mexico, strongly related to nature.

In 2019, Erika Zorrilla creates Chikome Galería, an art gallery in order to show her artworks, with the future vision of expanding and including more artists to create a rich cultural proposal.
